CHENEY STADIUM ANNUAL THIRD OF JULY FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA
Where: Cheney Stadium (Tacoma)
When: Monday, July 3, 2023; First pitch is 6:05 p.m.
Details: Tacoma Rainiers take on the Salt Lake Bees! The fireworks show will proceed after the game’s end, approximately 9:45 p.m.
FIRECRACKER 4 MILER AND SPARKLER DASH
Where: Teal Lot at the Washington Fair (Puyallup)
When: Monday, July 3, 2023; Kids’ sparkler dash begins at 6:30 p.m., 4 mile run/walk begins at 6:45 p.m.
Details: Stick around after the race for food trucks, a beer garden, music, and fireworks beginning at 10:00 p.m.
TACOMA’S FOURTH OF JULY SUMMER BLAST
Where: Tacoma Waterfront (Cummings Park and Dune Peninsula)
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2023; Music begins at noon, fireworks at approximately 10:00 p.m.
Details: This annual event takes place on Dune Peninsula and the iconic Ruston Way Waterfront and features two distinct event footprints, over 150 vendors, 2 stages and a 20-minute firework display. This event is the largest free community event in the South Sound.
RED, WHITE & VAROOM!
Where: Pioneer Park (Puyallup)
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2023; noon - 6:00 p.m.
Details: An all-ages event with food trucks, a night market, and a classic car show
JBLM’S FOOD TRUCKS & FIREWORKS (open to DOD ID cardholders only)
Where: Cowan and Memorial Stadiums at Joint Base Lewis-McChord When: Tuesday, July 4, 2023; Doors open at 5:00 p.m., fireworks at approximately 10:15 p.m.
Details: This free event is open to Department of Defense (DOD) cardholders and their guests and will feature food trucks in the midway starting at 5:00 p.m.
FOURTH OF JULY HOMETOWN CELEBRATION
Where: Various venues in DuPont, WA
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2023;
8:00 a.m. Historical Society Pancake Breakfast at Clocktower Park;
10:00 a.m. Independence Day Parade;
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Clocktower Park Celebration featuring music, food, games, vendors, and more;
At dusk, fireworks at Patriot’s Landing
INDEPENDENCE DAY 5K RUN
Where: Vassault Park (Tacoma)
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2023; Kids’ 1K starts at 9:15 a.m., 5K starts at 8:00 a.m.
Details: The race starts at Vassault Park and ends at Owen Beach
FOUR ON THE FOURTH FOUR MILE RUN
Where: Town Hall (Steilacoom)
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2023; Kids’ 1 mile begins at 9:05 a.m., 4 mile begins at 9:00 a.m.
Details: Run the waterfront to kick off the Fourth. A prize will be awarded for best dressed.
STEILACOOM FOURTH OF JULY PARADE AND FIREWORKS
Where: Various venues in Steilacoom, WA
When: Tuesday, July 4;
9:00 a.m. Street Fair Opens on Lafayette Street
10:00 a.m. Beer Garden Opens at Steilacoom Tap Room
12:00 p.m. Ice Cream Social at Museum Patio
1:00 p.m. Parade Begins
Approximately 10:30 p.m. Fireworks at the Barge
