The Northwest's Premier Community Symphonic Band. The Tacoma Concert Band [TCB] is a symphonic music ensemble composed of woodwinds, brass, percussion and a string bass. The TCB performs music ranging from Sousa to Holst to Bernstein.
With musical roots based in the traditions of the finest American and European bands, extending to the newest music commissioned especially for the Tacoma Concert Band, the band embraces the present while respecting the past. The Tacoma Concert band has received awards for excellence from the John Philip Sousa Foundation and the City of Tacoma and Pierce County Arts Commissions.
