We also promote activities and events to encourage business and commerce as well as strengthen the community. Eatonville was founded in 1889, the same year Washington became a state. Originally, the lumbermill was the mainstay of business in Eatonville, now Eatonville is considered a destination spot on the road to Mount Rainier. So much to to see and do : hiking, bridle trails, camping, fishing, boating, museums, and even a wildlife park with over 300 acres of animals!
