Things to do this weekend in Tacoma and Pierce County (Sept. 6-8)

When it rains, it pours. Metaphorically speaking, of course, since Mother Nature hasn't gotten the memo that summer is officially over. The first post-summer weekend is just about here, and Saturday is just slammed with good times waiting to be had. You're going to have to pick and choose, but I'd say when 1 p.m. rolls around, you should probably have your space staked out at Dune Peninsula to watch Vertical Horizon's free show.

Because there are worse places to be on a 75-degree almost-summer day than watching a great free show on a park peninsula overlooking Commencement Bay.
