Local food trucks are starting their engines to make their way to Tacoma’s Wright Park for the 3rd annual Tacoma Food Truck Fest on July 24th.
This year the festival will have 25+ different food trucks to try. With so many options comes many different kinds of food, from Greek to BBQ and from Donuts to Ice Cream, there’s a little something for everyone in the family. What makes these trucks even better is the fact that most of them were originated right here in Tacoma.
If you’re looking to leave the kids at home consider checking out the Beer Garden which will be hosted by Engine House No. 9 or “E9” as the locals say. E9 is known for their in-house brewed beers often made with unique flavors including a rhubarb wild ale. During the festival live bands will be on stage to add music to your feasting experience.
This festival is admission free so you can save your money for food and beer. It’s the perfect outing for families, couples, and even if you’re on your own. Families can watch the kids play on the playground while enjoying local Tacoma Food. Couples can lay out a picnic blanket to bask in the sun and take in the fun tastes from the food trucks they chose. Those on their own could grab a snack and set off on Downtown On The Go’s Wright Park Self-Guided Walking tour. No matter who you go with you're sure to have a fun time.
Metro Parks hosts this exciting festival each year at Tacoma’s beloved Wright Park which is the home to over 100 different species of trees. Engage you and your family in a world of flavor while enjoying one of Tacoma’s most beautiful parks.
