Gig Harbor, Washington [May 2012] – The Gig Harbor Wine and Food Festival is making changes in its evolution with a new date and a new Festival Director. The festival is being moved to July 14, 2012 and Victoria Trimmer has been hired to guide the festival as it develops during the third year of the event.
The Harbor Wine and Food Festival will be held once again this year at the Harbor History Museum, located at 4121 Harborview Drive, Gig Harbor WA. The event is put on by the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association.
This year’s festival will feature the culinary talents of Chef Holly Smith of Café Juanita in Kirkland.
A new festival website is now live and tickets are on sale. Limited tickets are available. For the first time, classes can also be reserved online www.harborwineandfoodfest.com.
The 2011 event included more than two dozen wineries and breweries as well as a wide variety of chefs and restaurants. Friday night wine maker dinners are being added for 2012. More than 700 people enjoyed the festival which is a fund raiser for the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association.
