Day 1: We begin our culinary tour at Dillanos Coffee Roasters in Sumner, WA! We will tour this local, award-winning factory and learn about their organic roasting processes in addition to how they sustainably source their coffee beans from throughout the world’s coffee bean growing regions. There will also be the opportunity to sample their coffees and purchase coffee beans to take home!
Following our coffee roasting tour we will head into downtown Tacoma and pay a visit to Savor Creperie. We will learn the art of crepe-making with owner Chef Tom Vigue and his team in addition to sampling a few of his menu items! If you’re still hungry feel free to browse through the full menu.
Next we will get a taste of the Pacific Northwest brewing scene as we take a quick walk to Harmon Brewing Co. A favorite amongst locals, Harmon Brewing Co. has won several awards for their signature and seasonal brews. Want to try a wide variety of samples? If so, make sure to order their “beerski” to get sample sizes of all of their signature beers.
Our next stop will take us to Johnson Candy Company to indulge our sweet tooth. Opened in 1918 as an ice cream shop it has continued to evolve over the years and is one of Tacoma’s most beloved candy shops. Browse their displays of handmade chocolates, caramels, nut clusters and more!
Our final stop of the tour will be an immersive sushi experience at TWOKOI in downtown Tacoma. We will share an intimate dining experience with award-winning chef, Jackie Koh and have him share the cooking process and preparation of unique entrees. You will get a hands-on experience as Chef Jackie will teach you how to roll your own sushi!
