The city of Tacoma is touting a new study that says the nonprofit arts and culture industry pumps $64.7 million annually into the Tacoma economy. And it supports 1,735 full-time equivalent jobs. The study also says $6.5 million in local and state government revenues is generated by the same industry.

This comes from the Arts & Economic Prosperity IV national economic impact study. The city says it’s “the most comprehensive economic impact study of the nonprofit arts and culture industry ever conducted in the United States.”
