New Wine Tour App Makes Finding and Visiting Wineries Easy for Enthusiasts and Travelers

The iPhone and Android app provides information for thousands of wineries across the country

TACOMA, WA – Now wine enthusiasts and travelers can instantly get information about what wineries are near them, when they are open, and how to find them, thanks to new iPhone and Android application created by SiteCrafting.

The Wine Tour app provides information about thousands of local wineries and vineyards across the U.S. including operating hours, contact information and even turn-by-turn driving directions. Users can use the application to search the wineries alphabetically, by when they are open, or by which wines they carry.

“This app drills down into what’s most important: Finding great wine,” says Brian Forth,SiteCrafting CEO. “It’s an easy-to-use, fun app that’s perfect for wine enthusiasts, travelers or really anyone looking to enjoy a vineyard on a sunny day or head out for a tasting with friends.”

Forth, a wine lover himself, thought of the app after recognizing the lack of a convenient way to identify and locate wineries and vineyards while he was traveling. With Wine Tour there’s no need to download separate apps, buy expensive guidebooks or search the web for winery information. The app is updated regularly to ensure the information is accurate and current, and user feedback is always welcome.

“There are so many amazing wineries and vineyards, but figuring out where they are and when they’re open can take a lot of time,” Forth says. “The Wine Tour app does all the leg work for you.”

The company first partnered with the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance for a web-based mobile touring application in 2011. That project’s success led SiteCrafting to create wine touring solutions for Oregon’s Willamette Valley, the Oregon Wine Board, and Wine Yakima Valley.

Now the company’s newest division, Mobile Wine Tour, focuses exclusively on providing the most up-to-date winery and vineyard information to its app users. The Wine Tour app will be available shortly at the iTunes App store or Android Market for $9.99. Search “Wine Tour” to find it. For more information on the app visit www.mobilewinetour.com.
