Explore downtown Sumner and its many unique shops and cafés. Before heading to Northwest Trek, pay a visit to Dixie’s Home Cookin for a slice of rhubarb pie, sourced from local Sumner farms.

Keeper Adventure at Northwest Trek Wildlife ParkAfternoon: Drive to Northwest Trek and experience their newest addition, Zip Wild Adventure Courses. Attempt to complete one of their four courses which are suitable for individuals from six years and older. Enjoy lunch at Northwest Trek’s Forest Café and then embark on the Tram Tour, a 50-minute, naturalist-guided tour where you will see bison, elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and more.

As you begin making your journey back to Sumner, pay a visit to Stringtown Lavender Farm + Winery. Stop in the tasting room for samples of their small batch wines or head out to the lavender fields and cut your own lavender.

Evening: After a day full of adventure, you’re sure to have worked up an appetite! For dinner, Branks BBQ is a locally owned and family operated southern style restaurant. From ribs to brisket to chicken and much more, you will be ready to head back to the Holiday Inn Express- Sumner for the evening.
