Tacoma's Cultural Attractions Equal Off-site Venues

These popular settings are perfect for memorable receptions and catered events:

Museum of Glass
Grand Lobby offers a spacious setting for receptions and banquets overlooking the Thea Foss Waterway.  The Hot Shop can also be included so guests can watch artists create with molten glass from its amphitheater – a unique and educational entertainment!

Tacoma Art Museum
Designed by famous architect Antoine Predock, this steel and glass facility features a soaring entry, ascending galleries wrapped around a central outdoor courtyard with a “wave” of ancient pavers, and views of the Thea Foss Waterway and Mt. Rainier. It includes early works by internationally renown native son Dale Chihuly, Northwest artists, impressionists, classics and special exhibits.

Washington State History Museum
This fascinating facility offers mezzanine space above its interactive and multimedia exhibits on the people, places and industries that shaped Washington State’s history.

Union Station
A restored 1911 landmark, this historic former train station now hosts special events and banquets in its stunning rotunda under a 700-piece glass chandelier and surrounding glass art by Dale Chihuly.

Chambers Bay Golf Course
The first Scottish links-style, championship course in Pierce County – and Washington State – features a 2,800-square-foot event pavilion and surrounding outdoor patio overlooking the 250-acre, 18-hole golf course designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones II. Beyond are sweeping views of Puget Sound, scenic islands and the majestic Olympia Mountains.

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
Groups can enjoy special events year-round in a variety of indoor and outdoor venues at this internationally-acclaimed facility with a Pacific Rim theme. Recently it added two new attractions: the Asian Forest Sanctuary and Wild Wonders Outdoor Theater.
