Washington State Travel Impacts + Visitor Volume, 1991-2010p
This study documents the economic significance of the travel industry in the 39 counties of Washington state from 1991-2010. These findings show the level of travel spending by those traveling to and through the state and the impact this spending has on the economy in terms of earnings, employment, and tax revenue.
The General Services Administration recently released the 2012 per diem rates for lodging, meals and incidental expenses for federal employees traveling on official business. The rates for the standard continental United States remained unchanged at $77 per day for lodging and $46 daily for M&IE. For non-standard areas (NSAs) only lodging rates were adjusted.
