Does it really rain most of the time in the Pacific Northwest?
No, despite the Pacific Northwest’s reputation for rain, Pierce County really isn’t all that wet. Our average rainfall is 39.9 inches [less than New York], 75 percent of which falls October through March. Typically, our driest month is July, and our wettest is December.
Our area is temperate – summer averages 70-80 degrees F.,
winter 40-50 degrees F. and spring/fall: 55-65 degrees F.
How far is Tacoma from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport?
Tacoma is 18 miles south of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, or about 25 minutes by car.
