Take an evening stroll down a Jack-o-Lantern lit path to a roaring bonfire, and get spooked as storytellers bring forth the spirits of the 19th century at Fort Nisqually Living History Museum. The night starts out with milder, gentler stories. After an intermission of cider and cookies, children are permitted to take home any parents they don’t think can tolerate the more intense stories that follow. Dress for the weather, as October nights can be as chilling as the stories! Some bleachers are provided for seating, but blankets, tarps, and small lawn chairs are welcome. Please, no umbrellas. This event is a fundraiser hosted by the Fort Nisqually Foundation, and all proceeds from this event support the Fort. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for children (12 and under). Tickets are good for either night, rain or shine. Tickets go on sale Oct. 1, and those purchased in advance are discounted.
