seeing tacoma through andy hayes? eyes
In February Shauna Lunde, our Director of Sales + Marketing, attended the Go West Summit in Boise, Idaho. Shauna met one-on-one with various tour operators and travel writers to promote Pierce County. Last month I hosted a media familiarization tour as a result of the connections Shauna made at Go West.
Andy Hayes, the managing editor of the travel blog Sharing Travel Experiences, made his first-ever visit to Tacoma in July and really immersed himself in the city's glass art culture.
Andy began his Tacoma adventure by creating a glass paperweight at Tacoma Glass Blowing Studio. Andy also visited the Museum of Glass, Washington State History Museum and Tacoma Art Museum. He stayed two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott, dined at downtown restaurants including Pacific Grill and the Harmon Brewery, and spent time snapping various photos of the downtown scene.
