museum favorite moves to larger space
This year marks the 25th year of the Tacoma Children's Museum, and in 2012 we'll have more reasons to celebrate.

On Jan. 14, 2012 a new 8,600-square facility will open as the new Tacoma Children's Museum right in the heart of Tacoma's downtown Museum District.

The new location is 60 percent larger than the current museum with more room for fun. The Tacoma Children's Museum promotes fun and learning through play and hands-on exhibits. The Museum will feature three sections:
  1. Woods (explore the woods and build forts)
  2. Water (learn about water in all its forms: running, falling, still and frozen)
  3. Voyager (all about imagination and pretend)
