bringing business to pierce county
In the last week of April I had the opportunity to attend American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Springtime Conference. Springtime is an educational conference geared towards association and third-party meeting planners. I was accompanied by Carol Pica from the Courtyard Marriott, Kristi-Lynn Churchill from the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, Lynsey Norton from the Hotel Murano and our Director of Sales + Marketing, Shauna Lunde. We teamed up with Bellevue, Seattle, Spokane and Tulalip as Team Washington with increased visibility resulting from our ASAE corporate partnership.

While in Washington D.C., Team Tacoma hit the streets to make eight very successful sales calls to pre-qualified associations the day before the conference. On the day of the conference we connected with 250 meeting planners who stopped by our pavilion! For each meeting planner that visited our both, we will be planting a tree in Washington State in their name. Overall the event was a huge success! I am looking forward to following up with the meeting planners I connected with and bringing new conferences and events to Tacoma + Pierce County.

What to do this weekend: 1/20 - 1/22

Happy Friday, Pierce County!
This time of year one of my favorite things to do is try something new and creative. The cloudy skies make being inside so appealing, but I don't want to just sit around indoors all weekend! Luckily, scattered throughout Pierce County there are plenty of creative enterprises who can help artistically challenged individuals like myself create something to display in my home, drink my morning coffee out of, or even give as a gift to a friend with an upcoming birthday!
