Pierce County Compiling List of Major Employers

Monday, July 1, 2013 2:03 PM by Andrea Mensink

Do you have 100 or more full time employees?
The Tacoma-Pierce County Economic Development Board is compiling their annual Major Employers list. They want to ensure the tourism industry is included! Please help the Economic Development Board by providing your organization's 2013 FTE number.
Every employer with 100 or more FTEs [full time equivalent employees] working in Pierce County will be included. Each FTE number includes all full-time employees plus a proportionate fraction for part-time employees working less than 40 hours/week. We also count contract employees who have been hired for the duration of grant-funded contracts.

If you know of another growing organization that may have 100 FTEs or more, please call it to their attention. They will reach out to verify their employment.

Provide your FTE numbers by completing their survey.

If you have any questions or know of another organization who may qualify, please contact Ryan Petty with the Economic Development Board directly:

What to do this weekend: 1/20 - 1/22

Thursday, January 19, 2017 6:00 PM by Calista Klein

Happy Friday, Pierce County!

This time of year one of my favorite things to do is try something new and creative. The cloudy skies make being inside so appealing, but I don't want to just sit around indoors all weekend! Luckily, scattered throughout Pierce County there are plenty of creative enterprises who can help artistically challenged individuals like myself create something to display in my home, drink my morning coffee out of, or even give as a gift to a friend with an upcoming birthday!
