The Tacoma Regional Convention + Visitor Bureau is announcing new positions with the organization beginning May 1, 2013, but they are all filled by familiar faces.

Moira Davin has been named Director of Sales for the TRCVB regional destination sales team. She was previously a sales manager. Her responsibilities will include directing, planning and implementing national and local sales efforts, as the team aggressively sells Pierce County as a convention, tour and travel and leisure destination. She will also be responsible for bringing in meetings that could potentially fit around various venues in Pierce County for the association and societies meetings markets, and will attend regional and national tradeshows as part of that effort. Moira has been with the organization since February 2009.

Marcus Carney has been named Director of Visitor Experience. He was previously Conference Services Manager. His role combines two previously separate responsibilities of the TRCVB, visitor services and conference services. He will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Tacoma Visitor Information Center, identifying ways to use technology to better inform and engage visitors, while assisting the TRCVB in learning more about visitor demographics and habits. He will manage our volunteer and visitor information center team that works with meeting planner clients to ensure successful events and a positive visitor experience in Pierce County to influence future repeat bookings. Marcus has been with the organization since July 2010.

Tami Music has been named Sales Manager with the TRCVB regional destination sales team. She was previously Visitor Sales Manager, and responsible for operations of the Tacoma Visitor Information Center. She will focus on developing the religious, government, education, hobby, fraternal and military meetings markets in Pierce County through direct sales initiatives. Her position will embrace regionalism, leadership and accountability as she works with stakeholders countywide. Tami has been with the organization since February 2009.

The regional destination sales team will continue to work collaboratively with the TRCVB's long-term convention sales team that is newly deployed at the Greater Tacoma Convention + Trade Center.
