it's the season for visiting travel writers

March marked the start of the busy season for visiting travel media. Freelance writer Rusty Rae was in town March 27 to write a story about museums within an hour of North Bend and Snoqualmie for the Snoqualmie Valley Star. During his visit he experienced the Museum of Glass and LeMay Family Collection Foundation. His story, which is set to run this month, will feature one museum with spots on several others in the area and will also include images. As a fan of cars, Rusty said LeMay Family Collection Foundation ?borders on unbelievable.?

I spent time with travel writer Barb Roy from Vancouver, British Columbia while she was in town April 8-10 to cover the Northwest Dive Expo at the Greater Tacoma Convention + Trade Center for X-Ray International Dive Magazine. Barb also visited Tacoma last year to cover the event and following the expo enjoyed a stay at Hotel Murano and dinner at BITE restaurant.

I am currently planning an itinerary for Jay Jones, a travel writer for Lodging Hospitality Magazine. He will be in town at the end of April to write about Hotel Murano and check out Tacoma's glass scene.
