pierce county native and intern shares adventures
The Pacific Northwest is a wonderful place to not only live, but also to visit. The quaint cafes and scenic outdoor attractions are enough to keep anyone busy and entertained for countless days. I love this place! I know it pretty well; you could say Tacoma and I are old friends.

Visitors can follow me, blogger and Pierce County native, Kortney Scroger as I share my experience of what the region has to offer. What better way to discover new, creative things to do than through the eyes of a local? From this blog visitors get a glimpse of the adventures waiting for them in Pierce County. They'll skip away from their computer ready and eager to visit!

Join me on my journey as I discover new ways to have fun and appreciate Tacoma + Pierce County. This new blog, called ?Local Picks,? is a record of my journey and experiences at different locations around the region. The idea of the blog is to showcase all the area has to offer, through the eyes of a local.

So far I have eaten at Grassi's Garden Cafe, trailed through the exhibits at the Point Defiance Zoo + Aquarium and trekked through wilderness at Mount Rainier National Park. Keep an eye out for new posts. You can read my blog at traveltacoma.com/blog/category/local-picks.
