changing it up for summer monthsTourism Revealed’s summer mission launches June 16. The mission’s theme, “Find Your Favorite...” has a few new twists to freshen up the scavenger hunt experience.
Similar to previous missions, there is an abundance of iconic locations from Pierce County, Seattle and Snohomish County. Unlike previous missions, clues for each location won’t be specified. Instead, we want to see what you find most interesting about each location (you can still submit evidence by using your GPS location on a smartphone).
The best addition to the scavenger hunt is the “Wild Card” location. Participants can choose to submit photos from any public location they visit around Puget Sound. There isn’t a submission limit for the Wild Card. Creativity is highly encouraged.
reveal the past through may 31
This month, we launched Tourism Revealed's Mission #5: Reveal the Past, a history themed scavenger hunt. Participants are encouraged to find historical gems throughout Puget Sound from museums and historic theaters to vintage-style murals on the side of a pub. The new scavenger hunt includes more than 20 new deals and locations.
Each location visited qualifies as an entry to win one of three vacation getaways each month. Participating locations offer special deals and discounted tickets to “investigators” who may present printed coupons or show offers on a mobile device.
tourism revealed’s mission 4 now—May 1
Mission 4 scavenger hunt is loaded with 16 new sports and recreation locations throughout Puget Sound. With Destiny Harbor Tours, Dock Street Marina, The Home Course, Edgeworks Climbing and Whittaker Mountaineering [just to name a few] the list of locations is not shy on adventure. Each location offers an exclusive deal to Tourism Revealed “investigators.”
culinary crawl a successTourism Revealed is gaining momentum, helped by the success of the Culinary Crawl on Feb. 25.
With assistance from the freshly launched TourismRevealed.com/Mobile, the Culinary Crawl helped us nearly double our investigators and almost quadruple visits to TourismRevealed.com from January to February. TourismRevealed.com/Mobile is a user-friendly site for mobile phones and allows "use my location" capabilities to submit evidence. The mobile site also gave me a reason to develop a QR code for the first time and use it on the Culinary Crawl posters (what is a QR code?).
